Mary Poole

Mary Ann Poole, 79, of Red Wing, passed away peacefully on February 14, 2012, at Deer Crest surrounded by family. She was born October 8, 1932 to Richard and Lucille (Foster) Raebel. Mary attended Red Wing High School and graduated from Ellsworth High School in 1950. She married Allen Poole, of Red Wing, on July 15, 1950. Mary worked at Red Wing Shoe Company and retired in 1994, after 29 years. She enjoyed horseback riding, reading, and tending to her flower garden. Mary and Allen also loved to travel, taking many trips to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Mary's greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and great- grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Allen Poole; her children: Michael (Joyce) Poole, Scott (Robin) Poole and Rory "Bo" (Marie) Poole all of Red Wing, Robin (David) Patrick of Liberty Hill, Texas and Shannon (Steve) Kearns of Bay City; her step-father, Howard Enevold of Bay City; fifteen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren and Tracy Smith of Red Wing.


Memorial service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, February 21, 2012 and Apostolic Gospel Church, 1329 Central Ave., Red Wing with Rev. Robert Molberg officiating. Burial will be at a later date at Burnside Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, February 20, 2012 at the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel and at the church one hour prior to the service.
