Bradley Gerald Olsen

Brad passed away at aged 69 Friday February 11th, 2022 at Seasons Hospice.  He was born to Gerald Olsen and Aretha (Hagemeister) on June 1st, 1952 in Litchfield, MN.    He grew up with his sisters and cousins, and attended school in Cosmos, MN.   He then attended Mankato State graduating in 1974.   He married Paulette Hewitt in 1975 (They later divorced).   Brad raised his family in Byron, MN where he served on the zoning committee.   He also was also active with Pheasants Forever.   Brad moved to Rochester and Oronoco through the years.   He worked with American Family Insurance for many years, then later worked for Mediacom USA.

Brad enjoyed his time with family and friends, and was always there when you needed him.   He loved to spend time through the years snowmobiling, motorcycle rides, hunting, fishing, and being out at the lake.   He was always up to do something especially if the grandkids or family was involved.   He enjoyed his weekly coffee with friends.  Brad cheered for his sports teams through the years, and his favorites were always the Gophers and Vikings.  His funny stories will be missed.

Brad is survived by his children Todd Olsen and Andrea Tarpenning (Joe), Grandchildren; Hayley Olsen, Abigale Sutter (Cody), Justin Tarpenning, and Jake Tarpenning.   His Great-grandchildren Yolandi McCann, Allis Sutter, and Charlee Sutter.    His sister Debra Olsen.   His Special friend Kay Wagner and extended family.   He is also survived by his Brother-in-law George Brunet and Nieces Stephanie Haver (Rick) and Lorie Brunet.   He has many friends and family that will miss him.

Brad was preceded in death by his parents, sister Barbara Brunet, and his Godson Brandon Brunet.

A memorial service for Brad will be held Friday February 18th at 10:00 AM at Mahn Family Funeral Home in Rochester  The Reverend Bruce Buller will officiate.  Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service.
