Zeill Margaret Gardlund, beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away in Red Wing, MN, on August 23, 2010.
She was born December 3, 1916, in Lake City, Minnesota to Zachariah and Augusta Nihart. She graduated from Lake City High School, and married Nils Gustav "Gust" Gardlund in 1936. Zeill Margaret and Gust were married for almost 50 years.
Gust and Zeill Margaret had a son, Zachariah Gustav (Sharon) Gardlund, and daughters, Mary Adelaide (Barney) Flueger, and Margaret Ruth (Cleon) Baker. Zeill Margaret also has ten grandchildren, and eleven grand-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, four sisters, and her husband Gust.
Zeill Margaret was a homemaker, worked at the Wabasha Courthouse, she taught Sunday School at Grace Episcopal Church in Wabasha, served as a Girl Scout leader, Job's Daughters and the Wabasha chapter of the Eastern Star, where she was a past Worthy Matron. She was a lifetime member of the Episcopal Church, most recently at Christ Church in Red Wing, where she moved following the death of her husband.
