Yvonne Mary Whipple

Yvonne Mary Whipple, 72 of Red Wing, died on Friday, October 8, 2010, at her residence in Red Wing. Yvonne was born June 1, 1938, in Red Wing, the daughter of Harold and Mary (Ryan) Thompson. She grew up in Red Wing and graduated from Red Wing High School in 1956. She was united in marriage to Clair Whipple on April 29, 1961, in Red Wing. Clair died on September 15, 2002. She was employed at St. John's Hospital, Drive-Inn Theater, Casey's General Store, and Haven Homes. She enjoyed knitting, walking, and spending time with her family.

Yvonne is survived by her son Tracy Whipple and his wife Shawn of Red Wing; three grandchildren, Nicole Whipple and her husband Brett Fanning, Emily Iverson and her husband Dylan, and Alec Whipple; great-grandchildren Riley, Jordan, and Alexia.

Mass of Resurrection will be 1p.m., Thursday, October 14, 2010, at the Church of St. Joseph in Red Wing, with Father Thomas Kommers presiding. Visitation will be from 5 -7 p.m. on Wednesday, October 13, 2010, at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel and for one hour prior to the Mass at church.
