William Charles Savage, 45, of Wyoming, Minnesota, died suddenly, Sunday, March 5, 2006, in Duluth. He was born September 17, 1960, in Red Wing, to Charles and Patricia (Wiley) Savage. He graduated in 1979 from Red Wing Central High School and attended Red Wing Vocational-Technical Institute for maintenance engineering. He worked at Laser Tech in the Twin Cities for about 13 years and then for Fairview Southdale Medical Center until the time of his death. He met Nancy Staack in 1988 and they were married June 9, 1990 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Red Wing. They adopted a daughter, Emma Rose, in 2003. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and skiing. Survivors include wife Nancy Savage; daughter, Emma Rose; his parents of Frontenac; two brothers, Bob (Jackie) Savage of Zimmerman, Minn., and Patrick (Arleen) Savage of St. Louis Park, Minn.; three sisters, Julie (Charles) Emnett of Florence, Mont., Karen (Tim) Larson of Faribault, Minn., and Jeanne (Cliff) Wegener of Phoenix, Ariz.; his fishing buddy and father-in-law, Arnold Staack of South St. Paul, Minn.; brother in-laws, Mike (Sheryl) Stacck and Tim (Patty) Staack; neighborhood friends in Wyoming, Minn.; many nieces and nephews; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Funeral mass will be 11 a.m. Thursday, March 9, at the Church of St. Joseph, Red Wing, with Father Thomas Kommers officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in South St Paul. Rob Streff, Jason Hopkins, Ted Phillips, Ken Meyers, Colby and Steve Willson. Visitation will be two hours prior to the time of services Thursday at the church. Memorials are being directed to the First State Bank in Wyoming, Minn. for Emma Rose and Nancy. Mahn Family Funeral Homes, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel is handling arrangements.
