William Gullickson

William James (Jimmy) Gullickson, 52, of Wanamingo, Minnesota. Passed away on Wednesday, March 2, 2022, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He passed away at home with his family by his side.

Jim was born on July 24, 1969, to James and Janie Gullickson in Cheverly, MD.

Jim was a lifetime resident of Wanamingo, growing up in the rural area near Hader and later moving into Wanamingo. Jim attended Wanamingo schools through his entire school years and graduated in 1988.

Jim had a love of riding his Harley, camping and he was also a wild game hunter. Jim married his soulmate, Karen on July 11, 2014. Their love of motorcycles, camping and each other helped build and make their marriage stronger.

Jim is survived by his loving wife, Karen; two step-children, Taylor and Karissa; his mother, Janie of Brandywine, MD; three brothers, Justin of West Concord, Joe (Teresa) of Wanamingo, and Jarid (Gilda) of Boonsboro, MD; and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father, James Gullickson; brother, John Gullickson; grandparents, Wilbur and Inez Gullickson, Cecil and Colleen Peyton; nephew, Jesse; and niece, Lindsey.

Memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. on Friday, March 4, 2022, at Mahn Family Funeral Home – Larson Chapel in Zumbrota with one hour of visitation prior to the service.

A private family burial will take place at a later date.
