William "Bill" R. Fredrickson

William Ross Fredrickson, age 62 of Wanamingo passed away peacefully in his sleep Sunday January 18th, 2015. Bill will be remembered as a wonderful father, grandfather, brother and friend.
Born May 5th 1952 to Joel and Ruth Fredrickson in Zumbrota, MN, Bill grew up in Wanamingo, MN, and attended Austin Area Vocational Technical Institute. He enjoyed the simple things in life, such as fishing, his favorite pastime. Whether it was riding motorcycles as a 7-year-old, or pulling his own 7-year-old on skis behind the family boat, Bill loved spending time outdoors. After raising his family in Northfield, Bill moved back to his hometown to bring simplicity back to his life.
Bill had the gift of gab and was a salesman most of his life. Known for his positive attitude and optimism, Bill's approach to life was always honest and forthright. One of Bill's best gifts was being able to make others laugh. His hearty good humor left everyone he met smiling.
Bill's biggest joys late in life were his children and grandchild. He valued his time with his family members and always looked forward to the next visit.
He is survived by the mother of his 3 children, Penny Fredrickson of Shoreview, MN; his sons and daughters-in-law, Eric and Kelly Fredrickson, of Lauderdale, MN; and Bjorn Fredrickson and Connor Brown, of St. Paul, MN; by his daughter and son-in-law, Kysa and Jim Englund, his granddaughter Ellie Lu Englund, of Greenwich, CT., brother, Chuck (Shirley) Fredrickson of Wanamingo and sister, Sandi (Craig) Vold of Dundas. They would all like to invite you to join them at his memorial service on Thursday January 29th, 2015 at 2pm, at Minneola Lutheran Church in rural Goodhue. The family will greet friends for one hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements are with the Mahn Family Funeral Home - Larson Chapel in Zumbrota. www.mahnfamilyfuneralhome.com
