Wilfred V Wilde

Wilfred V. (Bill) Wilde, 97, of Lake City, MN passed away at River Bend Senior Care facility in Rochester, MN on December 2, 2021. He was born January 25th, 1924 in West Albany, MN, the son of William C. Wilde and Ivanetta Sommers Wilde. He worked for Peterson Sheehan Department Store and Di- Acro for many years in Lake City and was a member of the United Methodist Church. Bill proudly served during WWII, first in the Navy and later in the Army Air Corps. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and could tell a fish tale with the best of them.

Bill was preceded in death by a sister Vivian LaRocque and brothers Raymond and Norman Wilde.

He is survived by his loving wife Dorothy of 75 years, brother Leonard of Plainview, MN and sisters Shirley Overton of Rochester and Geraldine Luhman of Lake City, son Steven and wife Theresa of Pine Island, MN,  daughter Diane and husband Richard Fallon of Franklin, NC, three grandsons; Brian (Beth) Wilde of Rose Creek, MN, Scott (Shawna) Wilde of Baldwin, WI, Joshua (Sharyn) Fallon of Dacula, GA and seven great-grandchildren as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
