Wilbur L. Gullickson

Wilbur L. Gullickson age 92 of Wanamingo died on Wednesday morning April 2, 2008 at Saint Marys Hospital in Rochester. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, April 5, 2008 at 2:00 PM at Wanamingo Lutheran Church in Wanamingo with Reverend Barbara Kopperud officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for Friday, April 4, 2008 from 4:00 - 6:00 PM at the Mahn Family Funeral Home � Larson Chapel in Zumbrota and on Saturday one hour prior to the service at the church.
Wilbur Lloyd Gullickson was born on January 15, 1916 in Spring Valley, MN to William and Alma (nee Johnson) Gullickson. He grew up on the family farm and attended country school. On June 11, 1939 he married Inez O. Reierson in Rochester. They lived on several farms before moving to rural Wanamingo in 1941. They farmed near Wanamingo until moving into town in 1964. Wilbur worked for the Wanamingo Elevator Company until retiring in the mid-1980's. He also worked part-time for Maple Island Creamery and drove school bus. Wilbur was a member of Wanamingo Lutheran Church and enjoyed square dancing, traveling and gardening. Wilbur is survived by four sons, Eugene (Barbara) Gullickson of Rochester, David (Alice) Gullickson of Rochester, Jim (Char) Gullickson of Cannon Falls and Neil (Sheri Gumbusky) Gullickson of Wanamingo; fourteen grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter. Wilbur was preceded in death by his wife Inez, two great grandchildren, four sisters and five brothers. Casketbearers are his grandsons Jeffrey, Gene Alan, Daniel, Jim, Justin and Josef Gullickson.
