Wendy Kathleen Anderson Isackson, 56, Red Wing, died peacefully on Thursday, September 17, 2009, at home, surrounded by family. Wendy was born June 25, 1953 in Red Wing, the daughter of Neal "Shamo" and Dolores "Dode" (Daeffler) Anderson. She attended St. Joseph's Catholic School, the Villa Maria and graduated from Red Wing High School in 1971. She married Jon Isackson on October 20, 1978 at United Lutheran Church in Red Wing. They were blessed with two beautiful children, MacKenzie Marie and Jordan Lyn. Wendy sold real estate for many years and then retired to focus her energies on her family. For the past six years Wendy dedicated her life to raising her precious granddaughter, Kathryn Rose. She enjoyed the arts, music, painting, taking family pictures and traveling to the Southwest and collecting Southwestern art. She loved spending time with friends and family over a cup of coffee and had a special gift for making people laugh. She was a lifelong member of Church of Saint Joseph.

Wendy is survived by her husband, Jon Isackson; one son, Jordan Isackson; one granddaughter, Kathryn Rose Isackson; her father, Neal (Garnet) Anderson; three brothers, Michael (JoAnn), Douglas (Ann) and Tracy Anderson; three sisters, Lynn Fechter, Meredeth (Erich) Weber and Terry (Ni) Buck; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter, MacKenzie Marie and her mother Dolores "Dode" Anderson.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday, September 21, 2009 at Church of Saint Joseph in Red Wing. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery in Prescott, WI. Casketbearers will be Michael, Douglas and Tracy Anderson and Nilan Buck. Honorary casketbearers will be all Wendy's nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Sunday, September 20, 2009 at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel and on Monday for one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials are preferred to Mayo Clinic Cancer Research or Fairview Red Wing Regional Hospice.
