Wayne Curtis Madison

Wayne Curtis Madison,74, of Red Wing, died Wednesday, June 10, 2020 at the Lake City Care Center. He was born September 7, 1945 to David and Geraldine (Beckler) Madison in Red Wing. He graduated from Red Wing Central High School in 1963. In 1967 he was drafted and served in the Marine Corps until 1969. He then moved to California where he took advantage of the GI bill to get a Chiropractic Degree. He practiced for a few years before going to work for Ross Cook Industrial Vacuum Systems as a designer and engineer. In 1983, Wayne married Connie Valentine in California where the couple raised two daughters, Melody and Carly. In 1994 the family moved back to Minnesota where he continued his work with industrial vacuum systems. He had an extraordinary work ethic, he enjoyed listening to music, and spending time with his grandkids. He loved to tease and had a wonderful sense of humor.
He is survived by his wife, Connie, of Red Wing; daughters, Melody (Ben) Botnen of Duluth and Carly (Isaac) Giesen of Red Wing; four grandchildren (and one on the way), Zoey and Pippa Botnen and Graham and Jillian Giesen; siblings, Sharon (Ed) Payne of Los Alamos, NM and Gary (Nancy) Madison, of Red Wing. He is preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial gathering will be held from noon - 2 p.m. on July 31, 2020 at the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred.
