Red Wing

Wanda Kathleen Lee, 76, of Red Wing, died peacefully on Saturday, August 31, 2024 at Mayo Clinic – Methodist Campus, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on June 19, 1948, in Red Wing to Phillip and Marion (Kenitz) Savage. She attended schools in Red Wing and graduated from Ellsworth High School in 1966. For a few years she worked at Hilleren Nursing Home. On September 8, 1972, she was united in marriage to James Lee at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Red Wing. She worked for Red Wing Cleaners, Tradewinds Buffet at Treasure Island Casino and then Days Inn. She was a member of the Leo C. Peterson American Legion Auxiliary. Wanda enjoyed sewing, doing crafts, quilting, reading, playing computer games and watching old movies and the Hallmark channel. 

Wanda is survived by her husband, James of 52 years; one son Tony Savage; one daughter, Valerie Lee; two grandchildren, Catherine and Ethan Fox; one half-brother, Alan Savage and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and step father, Donald Hutchens.

Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, September 7, 2024,  at Oakwood Cemetery in Red Wing. Memorials are preferred to the River Bluff Humane Society or donor’s choice. Arrangements are by the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel.
