Vivian Emma Webster

Vivian E. Webster, age 95 of Rochester, formerly of Mazeppa passed away on January 10, 2017 at Seasons Hospice House. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at 10:30 A.M at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Mazeppa with Father Joseph Fogal officiating. Visitation will be for one hour before the service at the church. Burial will be at a later date. Arrangements made with Mahn Family Funeral Home - Larson Chapel.
Vivian Emma Hoffman was born on July 21, 1921 to Nicholas and Pearl (Tupper) Hoffman in Rochester Township. She grew up in Oronoco and attended Oronoco schools, until later graduating from Mazeppa High School in 1939. After school Vivian worked at Rochester Dairy for a number of years. Vivian married Daniel Webster on July 15, 1943 at Camp Blanding, Florida during World War II. They settled in Mazeppa and raised their family. Together they ran and owned the local grocery store in Mazeppa for a few years. Vivian worked in management at a fabric store in Rochester for many years and later at the Mazeppa Public School in the cafeteria. After they retired they enjoyed annual trips to Arizona during the winter months to spend time with their grandchildren. Vivian was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Improvement Club, SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church and after moving to Rochester Pax Christi Catholic Church, Ladies Guild, and various church committees. Vivian enjoyed sewing, baking, cooking, crafts, gardening, community and church clubs, activities and spending time with family.
Vivian is survived by her four children, Donald Webster of Rosemount, Janet (James) Williams of Rochester, Margaret (Lee) Timmerman of Phoenix, AZ, and Katherine (Joe) Camp of Edina; five grandchildren, Jennifer, Melissa (Greg), Kelsey (Josh), Jessie and Asher; and two great-grandchildren, Keira and Peyton.
Vivian was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel; daughter-in-law, Marietta Webster; granddaughter, Abigail Timmerman and her parents.
Memorials are preferred to Season's Hospice House and SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church.
