Virginia Erna Haar

Virginia Erna Haar, 64, of Red Wing, died Friday, December 14, 2007, at St. Brigid's at Hi-Park. She was on January 31, 1943, at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester to Rev. Theophil and Lenora (Busse) Haar. Due to frail health, she spent the first three months at the hospital. While there she was baptized in the Lutheran faith by her Father, the late Rev. Theo. G. Haar. On July 22, 1956, she was confirmed at the Bear Valley Lutheran Church also by her father, Pastor Haar. She attended the Rochester Schools and graduated from high school in 1962.
Survivors include her mother, Lenora Haar of Red Wing and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Monday the St. John's Lutheran Church, Bear Valley with Revs. Alan Horn and William Ziebell officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday and for one hour prior to the service on Monday all at the church. Memorials are preferred to the WELS Missions. Funeral arrangements are by the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel in Red Wing.
