Virgil Michael Kunkel, 86, of Pine Island, MN passed away peacefully on October 9, 2010 surrounded by family.
Preceded in death by his wife Ruth and son Tom (Jennie). Survived by children, Nick (Nancy), Colleen (Dwain) Wilson, Paul (Lynn), Diane (Rob) Haschle, Ric, Doug (Pam), Chris (Deb), Tim (Paula), Becky (Mike) Gauthier, Joe (Lori) and Dwight. And special long term friend Anna Darcy, whose children include Mary Jo (David) Kehren, Barbara (Merlin) Halverson, Mark (Jenny), Robert (Dawn), Dawn (Tim) Meyer, Brian (Julie), Jeffery (Pam) and Janel (David) Liffrig. Preceded in death by her son David.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to be sent to Hemophilia Foundation of MN/Dakotas, 750 South Plaza Drive, Suite 207, Mendota Heights, MN. 55120
Funeral service will be held at 11 am Thursday, October 14, at Christ the King Catholic Church, 202 4th Street NW in Byron, MN. Visitation is on Wednesday, October 13, from 5 to 8 pm at Mahn Family Funeral Home - Mahler Chapel, 209 1st Ave NW in Pine Island and 1 hour prior to the service at Christ the King Catholic Church.
