Vincent J. Prebe age 77 of Lake City passed away December 16, 2013 at his home.
Vincent was born August 16, 1936 in Lake City to Edward & Isabella (Jostock) Prebe. Vince attended rural school in West Albany and Lincoln High School in Lake City. Vincent married Delores Sommerfield June 21, 1958 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in West Albany. They lived in the Lake City area and Vince worked Road Construction for several years. He then went to work for Federal Mogel in 1961 and was employed for 38 years until retiring in 1999. He also worked as a handyman and he also worked for several contractors in the Lake City area. In the past few years Vince ran a lawn care business. He was a member of St. Mary's of The Lake Catholic Church in Lake City. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, mowing lawns and spending time with his family.
Vince is survived by his wife, Delores, two daughters Judy (John) Mead of Lake City, Janice (David) Kutina of Lake City; two sons, Terry (Danette) Prebe of Lake City, Tim (Lucy) Prebe of Wabasha; five grandchildren Cory Kutina, Michael Kutina, Kassie Dittfach, Heather Moyer, Cassie Soine; nine great grandchildren, Kylie, Aiden, Hunter, Carlie, Melissa, Riley, Lily, Josie, Aubrie. Preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Edward Prebe Jr, Robert Prebe; a sister Betty Roberts.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am Friday, December 20th, 2013 at St. Mary's of The Lake Catholic Church with Father Joseph Pete officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Lake City. Visitation will be Thursday from 5 to 8 at the Mahn Family Funeral Home Anderson-Peterson Chapel Lake City.
