Victoria Marie "Poke" Dahlstrom, 58, of Red Wing, died Saturday, August 11, 2012, at the Red Wing Health Center, surrounded by her family. She was born December 14, 1953, in Hastings, Minnesota to Lee and Edna (Tanney) Glasby. Her family moved to the Welch area and she attended school in Vasa. On October 4, 1974, she married Jack Dahlstrom and they lived in Red Wing. She was employed at Intek Plastics in Hastings for many years, retiring in 2003 due to health reasons. Jack died May 15, 1998. Victoria loved trying her luck at the casino, and she also enjoyed playing cards and watching the birds from her home. When they were younger, she and Jack also enjoyed fishing and boating together with their children.
She is survived by two children, Theresa (Ronnie) Lexvold of Goodhue and Billy (Christine) Dahlstrom of Bellechester; four grandchildren, Travis and Ashley Lexvold and Adam and Hannah Dahlstrom; five sisters, Sylvia Glasby of Red Wing, Delores Riley of Pine River, Gloria (Dennis) Burr of Cannon Falls, Lucille Balster of Red Wing, Lorene (Norman) Ushmeyer of Wahoo, Nebraska; two brothers, Henry Glasby of Red Wing and Paul (Vicky) Glasby of Wanamingo and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, five brothers and three sisters.
Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 15, at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery.
