Victor J. Hoeft age 67 of Lake City passed away March 30, 2015 at his home.
Victor was born July 20, 1947 in Lake City, MN to Emery & Mary (Koch) Hoeft. He attended McCahill Institute in Lake City for elementary school and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1965. He then attended the University of Minnesota and graduated with Honors (Magna Cum Laude) with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering in 1969. He worked as a Mechanical Engineer for Minnesota Mining and McDonnell Douglas Aircraft in California. Victor was a great companion to his mother. He was interested in genealogy and researched his family genealogy chart and history. He loved to travel National Parks, Frontenac State Park and Hok-Si-La Park in Lake City. Victor had a "Beautiful Mind"
Victor is survived by two sisters; Beverly (Warren) Nordley of Burnsville, MN, Bernadine Hoeft of Milwaukee, WI; brother; Robert (Sharon) Hoeft of Seneca, S.C. Victor was preceded in death by his parents.
A Memorial Mass will be held Monday, April 6th at 11:00 am at St. Mary's of The Lake Catholic Church in Lake City with Father Joseph Pete officiating. Friends may call one hour before the service at the church. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Memorials are preferred to St. Mary's Church or Hok-Si-La Park in Lake City.
