PINE ISLAND ? A memorial service for Vicky Peters will be 2:00 p.m. Monday at Dale Lutheran Church, Cherry Grove Township, Goodhue County with Rev. Mike Lockerby and Rev. Brian Krause officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Military Honors by the Wanamingo Veterans Honor Guard.
Mrs. Peters, 45, of Pine Island, died Tuesday (May 6, 2008) at her home.
Vicky Laverna Berg was born Oct. 13, 1962 to Robert and Marion (Ludewig) Berg in New Ulm, MN. She graduated from New Ulm High School in 1981. She married Kenneth Wilfahrt on Aug. 20, 1982, they were later divorced. On April 10, 1997 she married Scott Peters. The couple lived in Wanamingo where she worked for Bob's Country Market in Wanamingo and then Gorman's Meat Market in Pine Island. She moved to Pine Island in 2006. She enjoyed camping, canoeing, and playing guitar.
Survivors include her husband Scott of Wanamingo; a daughter Tina Wilfahrt of Pine Island; a stepson Nick Peters of Goodhue, MN; her father Robert Berg, Jr. of New Ulm; a sister Jean (Bob) Bourland of Dacono, CO; and three brothers Gary (Annette) Berg, Randy (Rhonda) Berg, and Kenneth (Teresa) Berg, all of New Ulm; and special friend John Rose of Pine Island. Her mother and her son preceded her in death
Friends may call from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Sunday at Mahn Family Funeral Homes ? Larson Chapel in Zumbrota, and one hour before the service at the church.
