Vicky Lynn Hervey

Vicky Lynn Hervey, 69, of Pine Island, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 2, 2024, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Zumbrota on December 12, 1954, to Charles and Nellie (Yennie) Andrist. She graduated from Pine Island High School in 1973 and went on to marry her high school sweetheart, and love of her life, Brian Hervey, in 1978. She spent her career as a nurse at Mayo Clinic, Methodist campus after receiving her nursing degree from the Rochester Junior College and later her bachelor’s degree from Winona State University. Vicky is known for her love of antiques, horses, quilting and took great pride in her gardens. She was a gifted story-teller, avid bargain hunter, and the glue that held her family together. 

She is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Brian; three children, Angela (Seth) Friese, Danielle (Brad) Weis, and Alexander (Katie) Hervey; grandchildren, Grady (10), Penny (8), Mason (6), and Josie (5); siblings, Leone Looft, Larry (Linda) Andrist, Dale (Edie) Andrist, Chuck (Joleta) Andrist, Nelda (Duane) Sattre; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Nellie and her siblings, Orlo Andrist, Lorraine Johnke, and Arlene Collins.

Memorial Service will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at Pine Island United Methodist Church with Reverend Tony Fink officiating. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service. Arrangements made by the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Mahler Chapel.
