Vernon Edward Hinck

Vernon Edward Hinck age 85 of Lake City passed away Thursday, January 14, 2016 at the Lake City Care Center.
Vernon was born March 20, 1930 to Edward and Anna (Reese) Hinck. Vernon attended Gilbert Valley country school up to 6th grade and attended 7th and 8th grade at St. John's Lutheran in Lake City where he was confirmed on May 21, 1944.
He married Delaine Klein August 15, 1953 at St. Peter's Belvidere church where they have remained members. He served on various boards at church throughout the years. Vernon also drove milk and cattle truck for many years while farming on their Mt. Pleasant Township farm.
After retiring from farming and trucking, Vernon mowed lawn for Red Wing Country Club and Oakwood Cemetery in Red Wing. He also hauled fertilizer for Dill Elevator and Gerken's Feed. Vernon was a past member of Lake City Lion's Club.
Vernon is survived by his wife, Delaine; children, Harold, Donna Mae (Ron) Lange and Sharlene (John) Yorde; four grandchildren: Travis (Chrissy) Lange, Anna Mae Lange, Jason (Katie) Yorde, Steve Yorde; four great-granddaughters, Shelby, Bristol, Lilia, and Liza. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Raymond and infant sister, Jean.
Funeral service will be held Monday, January 18, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter's Belvidere Church in Goodhue, MN with Rev Scott Fiege officiating. Burial will be at St. Peter's Belvidere Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 2 to 5 at the Mahn Family Funeral Home Anderson-Peterson Chapel Lake City. Pall bearers will be Travis Lange, Jason Yorde, Steve Yorde, Anna Mae Lange, John Evers, Meryl Watson, John Hinck.
