Vernon Guenther

The funeral services for Vernon Roger Guenther will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday, May 24, 2006 at Mahn Family Funeral Home-Mahler Chapel in Pine Island with the Rev. Paul Baldauf officiating. Interment will be in Pine Island Cemetery. Casketbearers will be Mike Packer, Michael Guenther, Jaime Mlenar, Dennis Greeley, Blake Eddy and Bill Freiheit. Visitation will be held from 6-8 PM Tuesday and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at Mahn Family Funeral Home-Mahler Chapel. Vernon Roger Guenther, age 77 of Pine Island died Saturday, May 20, 2006 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, MN. He was born February 13, 1929 to August and Emma Guenther of Arcadia, Wisconsin. He was deeply loved by all. Vernon is survived by his beautiful wife of 54 years, Yvonne and their four children; son, Michael (Kathy) Guenther of Pine Island; three daughters, Whitefeather (Dennis Greeley) of St. Paul, MN, Pamela Klink (Bill Freiheit) of Mazeppa, MN and Bonnie (Mike) Packer of Rochester; 10 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; brother, Willard Guenther of Arcadia, WI; sister, Erna Comero of Cream, WI and his best bud, his dog, "Buddy." He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Vernon was preceded in death by his loving parents; brother, Orville and sister, Evelyn. Arrangements are with Mahn Family Funeral Home-Mahler Chapel, Pine Island.
