Verneal Irene Otterson

Verneal Irene Otterson, 98, of Red Wing, died Wednesday February 9, 2011 at Fairview Seminary Home. She was born on April 6, 1912, the daughter of John and Maggie (Luchau) Miller. She attended school in Claybank. She married Walter Otterson on December 8, 1928 in Red Wing. She worked at SB Foot Tanning Company for 30 years retiring in 1972. She was a member of First Lutheran Church. She was a caregiver to many people throughout her life, and enjoyed gardening and flowers.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Walter Otterson; daughter, Betty Lou Otterson; sisters, Elvira and Rosella Luhman, Clara Hennen; brothers, Arthur, Lawrence, and Arnold Miller.

Funeral will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday February 16, 2011 at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel with Reverend Brian Scott officiating. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery.
