Verdayne Bubbers

Verdayne P. Bubbers age 61 of Lake City died Saturday October 14, 2006 at Bethesda Rehabilitation Hospital in St. Paul. Verdayne was born November 19, 1944 in Caledonia, MN to Peter & Esther (Ranzenberger) Bubbers. He moved to Lake City with his family and attended St. John?s Parochial School in Lake City. He married Marilyn Johnson August 30, 1964. They later divorced. He farmed in Wabasha County and also drove a milk truck for the Oak Center Creamery. Verdayne also worked at Di Acro, Dwelle Telephone Company in Lake City and, over the road trucking. He was employed at Heat & Glo in Lake City from 1992 to 2001. He married Jeanette (Schultz) Peterson January 25, 1985 in Las Vegas. He was a member of St. John?s Lutheran Church in Frontenac. He enjoyed Hunting and, traveling. He is survived by is wife; three sons Kevin (Melissa) of Brainerd, MN, Daryl (Christi) of Moorhead, Pete (Sarah) of Rochester; one granddaughter Chelsea; two step- daughters, Kathy Peterson of Red Wing, Marlene Niebeling of Kellogg; two step- grandchildren Sarah & Whitney Niebeling. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, October 18, 2006 at St. John?s Lutheran Church in Frontenac at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Christopher Hoppe officiating. Burial will be in St. John?s Cemetery in Lake City. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5 to 8 at the Mahn Family Funeral Home Anderson-Peterson Chapel Lake City. Friends may also call one hour before the service at the church.
