Vanda L. Sprick, age 85 of Lake City died on October 1, 2014 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester.
Vanda Laura Holden was born on June 9, 1929 the daughter of Elton and Ina (LaMont) Holden in Lake City. She attended school in Lake City, MN graduating from Lincoln High School. She married Richard Sprick on October 27, 1949 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Lake City, Minnesota. Vanda worked at A.E. Goetz Employee Credit Union for 20 years, DiAcro and also the Farmer's Elevator in Lake City, MN. Vanda and Richard lived in Jacksonville, Minnesota. She loved to dance to big band music, dressed beautifully every day of her life, had faith in God and greatly enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a wonderful mother who raised four children, a grandmother, great grandmother, wife and friend. She loved to spend "girls' weekends" with her daughter and granddaughters. She enjoyed pedicures, massages, having her hair done each week, her work and lunches with her friends. Donating blood was also important to her.
The end of this month she would have celebrated her 65th wedding anniversary. One bright spot is she lived her life to the fullest. She was a beautiful woman inside and out.

Vanda is survived by her husband Richard Sprick of Lake City, her children: Greg (Angela) Sprick of Hager City, WI, Scott (Ann Jostock) Sprick of Lake City, MN, Jeff (Lisa) Sprick of Lake City, MN and Kim (Richard) Miller of Buffalo, MN, her grandchildren: Heather (Carter) Lekatz, Jacob (Jenny Jiang) Miller, Jackie (Travis) Dunn, Jeremy Sprick, Joshua (Tara Morseth) Sprick, Amanda Sprick and Cory Grimsley. She is further survived by 8 great-grandchildren, her brother: Lee George Holden of Cut Bank, MT and sister: Ina Mae "Skeeter" Imber of Spring Valley, CA.
She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be held at United Methodist Church in Lake City on Monday, October 6, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Dahmon Romness officiating. Burial will be in the Jacksonville Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 5, 2014 from 2:00PM until 4:00 PM at the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Anderson-Peterson Chapel in Lake City and also one hour prior to services at the church on Monday.
Memorials in Vanda's name are greatly appreciated to the American Diabetes Association and the United Methodist Church of Lake City.
