ROCHESTER ? A memorial service for Troy S. Reinke will be 11 a.m. Saturday (Jan. 27, 2007) at Trinity Lutheran Church with the Rev. James Heining officiating. Mr. Reinke, 49, of Rochester, died Wednesday (Jan. 17, 2007) at Seasons Hospice in Rochester from complications of ALS (Lou Gehrig?s disease). Born Oct. 2, 1957 in Fargo, ND, Troy graduated from Fargo South High School in 1976 and received his BA in Education from the University of North Dakota in 1982. Troy also held a masters degree and educational specialist degree from Winona State University. In 1982, he married Susan ?Sue? Losness. He worked as an elementary school teacher in the West Fargo Public School system for 7 years. After moving to Rochester in 1991, Troy taught 4th, 5th, and 6th grade at Bamber Valley Elementary School until his retirement in 2006. His wife, Sue, is Senior Vice President at Associated Bank. Troy was active at Redeemer Lutheran Church serving as an elder and currently was the President of the Congregation. He served on Rochester Central Lutheran School Board and dedicated a one year leave of absence from teaching to develop a Lutheran high school in Rochester. Troy enjoyed spending time with family and friends, golf, basketball, and remodeling his family?s home. Survivors include his wife; three daughters Jessica, Anne, and Elizabeth all of Rochester; his parents Gary and Lorraine of Fargo, ND; a sister Karen (Don) Garnaas of Moorhead, MN; and his brother Mark (Kathy) of De Pere, WI. His maternal and paternal grandparents preceded him in death. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday (Jan. 26, 2007) at Mahn Family Funeral Home ? Rochester Chapel, and one hour before the service at the church on Saturday. Memorials are suggested to the ALS Association Minnesota Chapter or Redeemer Lutheran Church.
