Timothy Scott Nelson, age 49, of Red Wing, passed away Thursday, December 28, 2017 at St. Marys in Rochester. He was born November 17, 1968 in Milaca to Kenneth and Kathryn (Gronskei) Nelson. He attended school in Milaca. He farmed, worked at Wayne Transport, Hanco and later in Red Wing he worked at Liberty's, Maries and Oliver's. He married Tina Hennix in 1987 and they later divorced. On October 11, 2012 he married Deana Preble. Tim lived for his grandchildren and his love of boating, motorcycling and camping.
He is survived by his wife, Deana; children, Ashley (Shawn) Linder, Faith Nelson (Dan Hoffman), Dylan Nelson, Miranda Schmitz, Conner Schmitz; grandchildren, Corabelle, Abbigail, Avan, Majestic, Lucas, Wilhelmina, Evelyn, Saylor; his father, Kenneth Nelson; brothers, Jr. (Cora) Nelson, Shawn (Bonnie) Nelson, Wesley (Robin) Nelson, Kirk Nelson, Jarime (Jamee) Nelson and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Kathryn.
A visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 6th, 2018, at Zion Lutheran Church in Milaca. Online condolences can be left for the family at www.mahnfamilyfuneralhome.com.
