Timothy M. Hardy

Timothy Michael Hardy, 68, of Red Wing, died Monday, July 25, 2022 at the Mayo Clinic St. Marys Campus, in Rochester, surrounded by his family.  He was born August 29, 1953, in Red Wing, to William and Frances (Mischke) Hardy. He grew up in Red Wing and graduated from Red Wing Central High School, class of 1971. He married Luanna Griffin in 1974 and the couple had two daughters. They later divorced. He farmed for Duden Farms from the age of 16 until 2020. He also worked for the Red Wing Shoe Co. from 1974 until he retired in 2017.
He was a member of the Red Men Club, was an avid deer hunter and bowler and in the past, played on pool leagues. He was also a skilled gardener and he always had the best flowers and roses.

He is survived by his two daughters, Chery (Jeremy) McDeid of Lake City and Christina (Adam) Peters of Cannon Falls; significant other of 16 years, Amy Linder of Red Wing; 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; 9 siblings, Gary (Sandy) Nielsen, Sharon (Mike) Hemphill, David (Diane) Hardy, Randy Hardy, Kevin (Sue) Hardy, Linda (Russell) Quade, Jeff (Margie) Hardy, Patti (Dan) Unser, Judy (Rodney) Nelson; 2 step-siblings, Mike (Marcia) Galvin and Sue (Dar) Reeck; as well as many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; father, Marvin “Red” Galvin, sisters-in-law, June Hardy and Roseann Hardy; niece, Traci Hardy; great-granddaughter, Lylah Koob; and step-brother, Gerry Galvin.

Memorial service will be 1 p.m., Saturday, July 30, 2022 at the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel with visitation one hour prior to the service.
