Thomas Gerald Stodola, 56, of Red Wing, died Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2014 at his home. He was born on December 5, 1957 in Austin, Minnesota to Richard and Shirley (Tointon) Stodola. He attended schools in Austin and graduated from the Red Wing Technical College receiving an Auto Mechanics degree. On May 22, 1975 he married Dawn Stuhr. He worked for Durkee-Atwood, Hiawatha Auto and for Hygienic Service Systems. He enjoyed playing Facebook games, watching sports, especially the New Orleans Saints, gardening and being with his family.
Survivors include his wife Dawn; four children, Dana Glor of Ellsworth, Holly (Jeff) Simonson, Thomas (Jody Johnson) Stodola, Jr. and Meranda (John Blue) Stodola all of Red Wing; 19 grandchildren; three brothers, Mark Stodola of Virginia , Richard (Sue) Stodola, Sr., Eric Schoon and Raymond Schoon all of Mississippi; step-father, Arnold Toomer of Mississippi and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; one granddaughter, Tatjanna, and three brothers.
