Terry Clare Olson, 78, of Red Wing, formerly of Claremont, South Dakota, died Tuesday, May 12, 2020 at the Lake City Care Center. He was born January 5, 1942 to Clarion and Merlyn (Terry) Olson in Britton, South Dakota. He attended school in Claremont and following graduation he joined the U.S. Navy. Following his honorable discharge, he bought Britton Floral. He then went back to California where he graduated from California State University with a B.A. in art. He returned to Claremont where he refinished antique furniture, built stained glass windows and painted beautiful artwork. He moved to Red Wing in 2006 where he worked in a greenhouse and painted houses, both inside and out. He enjoyed raising both indoor and outdoor plants and flowers. He also found great pride and peace in his art.
Celebrating his life are, one brother, David; one sister, Darlene (Lyle) Tunheim; and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by one brother, Reverend Robert Olson; sister, Merlene and one great niece, Ava Shea Tunheim.
To all his friends in Red Wing: Thank you for your friendship. He enjoyed every one of you.
