Swen John Baker, “King,” 59, of Bemidji, MN, died December 6th, 2021, at Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, ND.
He was born on October 9th, 1962, to John Baker and Yvonne Baker in Minneapolis, MN. Swen attended Central High School and later Bemidji State University, where he was active in the Native American Student Council. Furthermore, he was a very skilled carpenter and bricklayer. He married Kim Dickenson on April 2nd, 1986, and they had four children, Jonas, Chase, Ross, and Ciarra.
Swen was an avid pool player and ping pong player. He enjoyed deer hunting and fishing. And dancing at pow wows with his son, Ross.
Swen is survived by his wife, Kim, his children, Jonas, Chase, Ross, and Ciarra; his grandchildren, Aiyana, Emmett, Skye, and Felix; his siblings, Tony Baker, Sigri Erickson, Ivan Baker, and Desiree Baker. He was preceded in death by his parents John and Yvonne Baker.
Funeral services will be on December 9th, 1:00 PM at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel with Nick Owen officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Prairie Island Community Cemetery.
