Susan Kaye Wiech, 63, Red Wing, died at her residence Monday morning. She was born August 21, 1944 in Red Wing, the daughter of Emil and Emma (Ree) Enevold. She attended schools in Red Wing. She married Fred Wiech on July 20, 1963 in Red Wing. She worked at Red Wing Shoe Company, Nybo's Restaurant, she managed the Casey's Store in Burnside and Frazier Theatres for a number of years and retired from Red Wing Schools where she worked as a cook. She was a member of United Lutheran Church and the Red Men Club Pocahantas. She enjoyed being a homemaker, her family and her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Fred; three sons, Tony (Tracey) Wiech of Des Moines, Iowa, Christopher Wiech of Frontenac and Kory (LouAnn) Wiech of Wanamingo; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two brothers, LeRoy (LaVonne) Enevold of Mankato and Roger Enevold of Red Wing; one sister, MaryJo (Charles) Kurtti of Neenah, Wisconsin; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral will be 11 a. m. Friday at United Lutheran Church with Reverend Steve Timm officiating. Burial will be in Burnside Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Amanda Windels, Ashley, Tucker, Taylor, and Tiffany Wiech and Brittany Thomforde. Honorary pallbearer will be Madelyn Gerberding. Visitation will be 4-7 p. m. Thursday at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel and on Friday for one hour prior to the service at the church.
