Susan C. Frank, age 76, of Mazeppa, passed away after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease on Tuesday, September 05, 2017. The Memorial Mass will be on Thursday, September 7, 2017 at 11:00 am at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Mazeppa with Father William Thompson officiating. The visitation will be on Thursday for one hour before the service at the church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Arrangements were made with Mahn Family Funeral Home - Larson Chapel.
Susan Carol Batterson was born on January 23, 1941 in Rochester to Lloyd and Dorothy (Vincent) Batterson. She was raised in Rochester and graduated from John Marshall High School in 1959. Sue married Sidney N. Frank on September 15, 1962 at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Mazeppa. They built a home in Mazeppa where they raised three sons. In 1976, Sue became a paraprofessional at the Zumbrota - Mazeppa Middle School and worked for 31 years, before retiring in 2007. Sue was an active member of TOPS Club and the Ladies Group of SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church.
Sue enjoyed reading, gardening, walking, and watching her children and grandchildren's sporting games, spending time with friends and family, especially seeing her grandchildren.
Sue is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Sid; three sons, Steven (Sheila) Frank, Bill Frank and Tony (Katrine) Frank; two grandchildren, Jacob and Samantha Frank; two sisters, Barbara Krahn and Jane Batterson; two brothers, Richard (Norma) Batterson and David (Marsha) Batterson; and many nieces and nephews.
Sue was preceded in death by her brother, Tom Batterson; sister-in-law, Marlene Batterson; brother-in-law, Donald Krahn; and her parents.
