Susan Jean Beal, 60, of Owatonna died on Sunday, May 30, 2010 at the Cedarview Care Center in Owatonna.
Susan was born May 7, 1950 in Pipestone, Minnesota, the daughter of Merle and Geneva (Argetsinger) Dibble. She was raised in Pipestone, MN graduating from high school in 1968. She began college at St. Cloud State University and completed a business course for Keypunch Operator at the Minnesota School of Business. She married John Beal on September 18, 1971 at St. Leo's Catholic Church in Pipestone. They lived in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Sydney, Iowa, Lake City, Minnesota, Sleepy Eye, Minnesota, and Owatonna, Minnesota. Sue worked for Lakewood Publications, Valspar Inc, Sydney, Iowa Public Schools, and Bluffview Elementary School and Weight Watchers in Lake City.
Sue and John raised two daughters, Kathryn (Aaron) Schuster of Owatonna and Rebecca (Michael) Shiel of Bristol, England. Sue is survived by her mother Geneva of Alexandria, Minnesota; sisters, Judy (Dave) Wallerich of Marshall, Minnesota, Mary Dibble of Louisville, Colorado, and Teresa Wieler of Circle Pines, Minnesota; brothers Tom (Maggie) Dibble of Pipestone, Minnesota, Robert Dibble of Denver, Colorado, and Michael Dibble of St. Cloud, Minnesota. She is also survived by her four grandchildren Brady, Alivia, Lanie, and Ella; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Merle;her sister Ann; and her nephew Christopher.
Visitation will be from 3-6 p.m. on Friday, June 4, 2010 at Brick-Meger Funeral Home in Owatonna, Minnesota and also for one hour prior to Mass at church. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 5, 2010 at St. Mary's of the Lake Catholic Church in Lake City, Minnesota with Father Richard Dernek presiding. Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery in Lake City. Casketbearers will be Tom Dibble, Robert Dibble, Michael Dibble, Dave Wallerich, Michael Shiel, and Aaron Schuster. Memorials are preferred to the Cedarview Care Center in Owatonna or to the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
