Susan Louise Anderson, 58, of Canton, Michigan, formerly of Red Wing, Minnesota, died unexpectedly on Thursday, Sept. 4, 2014 at her home. She was born March 31, 1956, in Red Wing, to Joseph and Ellamina (Thompson) Jarmuz. She graduated from Red Wing Central High School in 1974 and then attended the Red Wing Vo-tech where she received a degree in Nursing. She was united in marriage to Tom Anderson on June 9, 1978 and they lived in Red Wing until 1989 when they moved to Michigan. Susan had been employed at Red Wing Seminary Nursing Home. In her free time she enjoyed spending time with family & friends. She was a member of the Church of St.Joseph.
Susan is survived by her husband, Tom of Canton, MI; children, Amy (Travis) Hoffman of Aliquippa, PA & Sara Anderson of Canton, MI; brother, Thomas (Konnie) Jarmuz of Red Wing and a sister, Mary (Bob) Stripling of Corpus Christi, Texas; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Patricia Meyers.
Mass of the Resurrection will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 10, at the Church of St. Joseph in Red Wing. A visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday, at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel and for one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery.
