Steven Scott Mandelkow

S. Scott "Scooter" Mandelkow, 56, of Red Wing, died Tuesday, February 28, 2012, at the Fairview Red Wing Medical Center surrounded by his family. He was born on March 20, 1955, in Red Wing to Lyle and Norma (Winberg) Mandelkow. He attended schools in Vasa and graduated in 1973 from Red Wing Central High School. On November 3, 1973, he married Terri Nobach at Vasa Lutheran Church. For many years he worked in road construction working mainly for Arcon Construction of Mora, Minnesota. He also farmed on the family farm with his father, brothers and brother-in-law. He was a member of Vasa Lutheran Church. He enjoyed restoring antique tractors and going to tractor pulls and snowmobiling.

Survivors include his wife Terri; three children, Mike Mandelkow of Eagan, Jill (Shane) Anderson of Red Wing and Jeff Mandelkow of Red Wing; two grandchildren, Dylan and Lucas Anderson; his parents, Norma and Lyle Mandelkow; one sister, Judy (Ron) Scripture and two brothers, Larry (Diane) Mandelkow and Gary Mandelkow all of Red Wing along with nieces, nephews and many friends.

Funeral will be 3 p.m. Saturday at Vasa Lutheran Church with Rev. Kristi Mitchell officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be for two hours prior to the service at the church. Funeral arrangements are by the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel.
