Steven John Jensen, age 41, of St. Paul, died Sunday in Bayport, Minnesota. He was born on April 10, 1965, in Hastings to Dianne (Culbert) and Harry Goldberg. He moved to Red Wing in 1967 and was a 1983 graduate of Red Wing Central High School. In 1988, he received his degree in criminal justice from the University of Wisconsin ? River Falls. He married Kristie Burg on April 8, 1989, at the Assembly of God Church in Red Wing. They lived in the St. Paul area. He was a corrections officer for the State of Minnesota at the Stillwater State Prison in Bayport for eighteen years. He and his brothers were weight lifters for many years and he was inducted into the Minnesota Weightlifting Hall of Fame on February 5, 2005. Survivors include his wife, Kristie of St. Paul; two children, Jessica and Steven, Jr. at home; his mother, Dianne Albers of Red Wing; his step-father, Howard Albers of Mazeppa; two brothers, his twin brother, Scott (Rebecca) Jensen of Red Wing, and Richard (Tina) Jensen of Odessa, Florida; two sisters, Renee (Paul) Anfinson of Northfield and Rhonda (Romualdo) Sanchez of Red Wing; his in-laws, Gerald and Julie Burg of Plum City, Wisconsin; nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral will be 12:00 noon Friday at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel. Spring burial will be in Plum City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:30 to noon Friday at the funeral home. Memorials are preferred to Bridgeview School in St. Paul (Jessica?s special needs school). Honorary pallbearers will be Ray Burg, Romualdo Sanchez, Paul Anfinson, Zachary Jensen and John Drews.
