Steven H. Fick

Steven Herbert Fick, 68, of Red Wing, died Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at the Lake City Care Center.  He was born Dec. 5, 1952, in Red Wing, to Herbert and June (Novek) Fick.  He grew up on his family farm in Ellsworth, and graduated from Ellsworth High School, class of 1971.  He was united in marriage to Marion Falkner on June 10, 1972.  They always lived locally, between Red Wing and Ellsworth and together, they raised four children.  They later divorced.  Steve worked at Durkee Atwood/Pirelli/Dayco as well at Heat N Glo and Walmart.

Steve missed life on the farm, and though he never had his own farm later in life, he still enjoyed time spent outdoors fishing, hunting, vegetable gardening and giving his kids rides on the tractor.

He is survived by his children, Nancy Fick of Lake City, Daniel (Jennifer) Fick of Red Wing, Kathy (Curtis) Grant of Red Wing and Heather (fiancé, Nathan Rossing) Fick of Lake City; 15 grandchildren; his close friend, Sue Klein and 4 siblings, Theresa Novek, Roseann (Mike) Nelson, James (Ruth Ann) Fick and Miriam (Ed) and many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents and a son-in-law, Kevin Yotter.

Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Friday, July 9, 2021, at the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel, Red Wing. Visitation will be for one hour prior.  Online condolences may be sent to www.mahnfamilyfunerahome.com
