Stella J. Fulton

Stella Fulton, age 80 of Bay City, Wisconsin, died Monday, March 2, 2009. Stella was born in England on June 23, 1928. She was raised outside of the town of Hadleigh. She met and married Arthur Fulton on April 9, 1945 while he was stationed in England serving in the US Army. He later was stationed in Germany and she and many other "war brides" travelled to the US on an oceanliner and Stella eventually moved to Arthur's hometown of Red Wing, Minnesota. When Arthur returned from the service, they moved to Arthur's family farm outside of Chatfield, Minnesota in 1947. They then moved back to Red Wing. In 1957 Stella and Arthur moved to Bay City, Wisconsin on a small farm outside of town. Stella and Arthur made several trips back to England through the years. Arthur passed away in June of 2001. Stella made one last trip to England in 2006. She enjoyed baking, knitting, gardening, and walking.

She is survived by her children, Robert (Bonnie) of Capron, Illinois, David (Linda) of Hanlontown, Iowa, Shirley Schilling of Bay City, Wisconsin, Gary (Pat) of Rolling Stone, and Ron (Cathy) of Hudson Wisconsin; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and one due in July, and 4 great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her family in England, including her sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her husband; siblings Frank and Derek Jaye and Millicent Harvey; granddaughter Shelly Frenzen; great-grandson Bradley Fulton and son-in-law, James Schilling.

Funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Eidsvold Lutheran Church in Esdaile with Reverend Larry Lindmark officiating. Burial will be at Orion Center Cemetery in Chatfield, Minnesota. Visitation will be 5 � 7 Friday at the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel and one hour prior at the church on Saturday. Memorials are preferred to Fairview Red Wing Hospice. The famiily wishes to express a special thank you to all of the health care workers who cared for Stella during her illness.
