SOLVEIG HARDER Solveig Gunhild Harder, 93, of Red Wing died Friday at St. Brigid?s at Hi-Park. She was born on April 3, 1913 in Red Wing to Edward and Gunhild (Olson) Kaasa. She graduated from Red Wing Central High School in 1932 and from St. Olaf College in 1936. She taught high school English, History and Business at Wanamingo. She was later employed at Red Wing Shoe Company and Goodhue County Courthouse. She married Lloyd Harder in 1944. She was an active lifelong member of United Lutheran Church and enjoyed cooking, gardening and reading. Survivors include her daughter, Marilyn Harder of Woodbury and 15 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1971, one sister, Clarice Bringle and four brothers, Erling, Herman, Olaf and Rolf Kaasa. Funeral will be 11 a.m. Monday at United Lutheran Church with Rev. Randall Johnson officiating. Burial will be in the Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel and at the church for one hour prior to the service. Memorials are preferred to the ELCA World Hunger and the Red Wing Kiwanis Flower Basket Fund.
