Sophie Lindemann, 93, of Red Wing, died Monday, February 27, 2006, at Fairview Red Wing Medical Center. She was born October 1, 1912, in Goodhue County, to Carl and Dorothea (Lier) Olson and attended rural school there. After school she worked on her parent?s farm until her marriage to John Lindemann on September 11, 1937. They farmed in rural Goodhue until November 24, 1970 when they moved to Goodhue. John died February 28, 1973. She continued to live in Goodhue until October of 1996 when she moved to Red Wing. She enjoyed gardening, baking, sewing, crafts, and farm work. She was a member of St. John?s rural Goodhue. Survivors include 3 nieces, Dolores Olson Peterson of Anaheim, CA, Gloria Olson (Richard) Anderson of Minneapolis, MN, and Marry Ellen Kopp (Lauren) Lidgerding of Menomonie, WI and several great and great-great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; brother, Harold Olson; sister, Marie Kopp and nephew, Roger Kopp. Funeral Service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, March 4, 2006 at St. John's Rural Goodhue with Reverend Andrew Krause officiating. Pallbearers will be Bill Anderson, Lori Gerlack, Lonnie Kopp, and Dick Lidgerding. Honorary pallbearers will be Eric Algiers, Ross Algiers, and Lee Kopp. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the time of service at the church. Arrangements handled by Mahn Family Funeral Homes, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel.
