ROCHESTER The funeral for Sia Vue will be 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 Noon on Monday (May 11, 2009) at Emmanuel Baptist Church.
Mrs. Vue, 84, of Rochester, formerly of Laos, died Monday (April 20, 2009) at St. Mary's Hospital.
Sia Vue was born Nov. 15, 1924 in Luangprabang, Laos. She married Chong Houa Chang and the couple farmed in Laos. Her husband served in the Laotian Army. The couple moved to Rochester in February of 1988. She was a mid-wife, Herbalist, and was a member of the Hmong Baptist Church. She enjoyed taking care of her family and reading the Bible.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Jandua James (Xia) Chang, and Zongvue (Nou) Chang, both of Rochester; two daughters, Yer (Raji) Chang of Rochester, and Mai Lou Chang of Laos; and twenty four grandchildren. One daughter and four sons preceded her in death.
Friends and relatives may call from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Saturday (May 9, 2009), and from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Sunday (May 10, 2009) at Mahn Family Funeral Home Rochester Chapel.
