Shirley J White

Shirley Jane ( Waseskuk ) White ( Ma Tto Bi A ) died Saturday, December 5, 2020 at her home surrounded in love by her family. She was born September 22, 1934 at the Meskwaki Settlement, to Harry Waseskuk, Jr. and Josie Waseskuk.

Shirley is survived by her sons, Don ( Patty ) Whitebear of Red Wing, Mn; Art ( Diane ) White of Lakeville, Mn and Darwin White of Prairie Island. Along with numerous Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, Nieces and Nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry Waseskuk, Jr. and Josie Waseskuk; Husband, James Martin White, Sons, Kevin Whitebear and Jamie Whitebear; Sisters, Bertha Waseskuk, Helen Pritchett, Dorothy Bear, Belle Morgan, Lois Davenport, Elenore Pushetonequa; Brothers, William Waseskuk, Ben Waseskuk, Robert Waseskuk; Adopted Son, Delray C. Smith.

A walk through visitation will be Monday, December 7, 2020 at the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Masks and social distancing are required. Burial will follow at the Prairie Island Community Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred.
