Shirley Judith Josephson, 85, of Red Wing, died Wednesday at Fairview Seminary Home. She was born on February 20, 1922 in Red Wing, Minnesota to Marcus and Esther (Johnson) Larson. She attended schools in Ellsworth and then worked several years at the Ellsworth Creamery. On May 19, 1946, she married John Josephson. They lived in the Esdaile area where they farmed for many years. John died in 1969. She later moved to Red Wing. She worked at Larry's Boiler, Jostens and Salvation Army. A member of Eidsvold Lutheran Church, she was active in the church circles and enjoyed music.
Survivors include two children, Greg (Kathy) Josephson of Red Wing and Arlyn (Donald) Nadeau of Sand Coulee, Montana; five grandchildren; five great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband and two brothers, Marvin Larson and Perley Anderson.
Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Friday, June 29, 2007, at Eidsvold Lutheran Church in Esdaile with Rev. Chad Kohlmeyer officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be Kari Everson, John Paul Josephson, Aleta Nadeau, Zelry Nadeau and Krista Sorensen. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorial are preferred to the church. Funeral arrangements are by the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel.
