Shirley Ann Hamilton, 74, of Prescott, Wisconsin, formerly of Bay City, Wisconsin, died Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at her home. She was born July 20, 1945 in Bismarck, North Dakota, to George and Rose (Anderson) Bushinger. Her family moved to Minnesota and she graduated from high school in St. Paul Park. In 1968, she was united in marriage to Aaron Hamilton and they made their home in Bay City, Wisconsin. Together they celebrated almost 50 years of marriage until his death in 2018. Shirley was employed at Bailey Nursery in Newport and was blessed to have a job that she truly enjoyed. After her retirement from the Nursery, they relocated to Prescott, where she has since resided. In her free time, she enjoyed fishing, cooking, paint by numbers, crossword puzzles, going to the casino, gardening, canning and watching game shows. She truly enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter, Patti (John) Arden; grandchildren, Nichole (Blaze) Wagner, and Jesse (Courtney) Sullivan; great-granddaughter, Iris Sullivan; siblings, James, Roger and Daniel Bushinger, Barb Linnell and Sandy Thatcher; and grand-dog, Sadie Sue. She was preceded in death by her husband, Aaron and siblings, Otto, Dennis, Jerry, Ronald and Donald Bushinger and Sally Holmquist.
There will be no formal services held for Shirley. Arrangements handled by Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel.
