Shirley Jean Bargdill, 70, of Red Wing, Minn., died Monday, March 10, 2008 at
Fairview Red Wing Medical Center in Red Wing, Minn. She was born March 14, 1937 in Donnelsville, Ohio and moved to Minneapolis Minn. in 1954. She married Ronald Mielke and they later divorced. She then married Steve Hedemann and they later divorced. Shirley was a devoted and loving mother and sister. She had a loving and kind heart. She loved people and liked to help others where ever she was. Through the years she enjoyed ballet, classical music, fashion modeling, sewing, horses, working in nursing homes, singing and going to church. She was a member of Christ Redeemer Lutheran Church, Rochester, Minn. The family would especially like to thank her special friends and staffs at Fairview Seminary Home, Red Wing, Sunrise Cottages, Rochester, Ann Blide and Tracey Schuppel-Nelson and Dave and Michelle Baringer for their loving kindness for Shirley these past few years.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Rochelle (Shelley) Mielke of Minneapolis; a sister, Joyce (Charles) Sexton of Beavercreek, Ohio and many nieces and nephews she loved. She was preceeded in death by her parents, George and Eva Bargdill of Donnelsville, Ohio, brothers Richard (California), Lawrence (Ohio), Paul (Ohio) and a sister, Bettie O'Hara (Minneapolis).
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service. A second service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Donnelsville Lutheran Church in Donnelsville, Ohio with Rev. Peter Kruse offciaiting. Burial will be in the Donnelsville Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Memorials are preferred to the donor's choice. Funeral arrangements are by the Mahn Family Funeral Home in Red Wing, Minn. and Trostel, Chapman, Dunbar and Fraley Funeral Home in New Carlisle, Ohio
