Seth David Peterson

Seth D. Peterson, 57, of Welch, died suddenly Thursday, December 24, 2009 at home. He was born November 27, 1952 to Seth N. and Agnette (Simonson) Peterson in Red Wing, Minnesota. On October 2, 1982, he married June Marking in Lake City. He graduated from Red Wing Central High School in 1971. He started working at Thomas & Betts in Hager City after graduation and continued working there until the present for a total of 39 years and 5 months. He was a confirmed member of Cross of Christ Lutheran Church.

He is survived by his wife, June of Welch; three children, Cathy Peterson of Welch, Deanna (Wayne) Gehloff of Rosemount, and David Peterson of Welch; one granddaughter, Beretta Mae Gehloff; Kelli and
Cody Peterson; mother, Agnette Peterson of Bay City; eight siblings, Garnet (Rod) Nygren of Roseau, Frank (Carol) Peterson of Bay City, Margaret (Calvin) Pflaum of Farmington; Carol (John) Shinske of St. Petersburg, Florida, Wayne (Gwen) Peterson of Welch, Linda (Daniel) Smith of Red Wing, Lisa (Don) Tesch of Florida, Mary (Brian) Nordby of Bay City, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Seth N. in 1991 and brother, Paul, in 2006.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at Cross of Christ Lutheran Church in Welch with Reverend Iver Torgerson officiating. Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel and one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
