Scott Michael Peters

Scott Peters, age 50, of Wanamingo died on Wednesday, April 15, 2009 at Saint Mary's Hospital in Rochester. He was born Scott Michael Peters on September 24, 1958 in Minneapolis to Leo and Arlyne (nee Field) Peters. He attended school in Minneapolis and joined the United States Army, serving on active duty from 1975-1978. He remained in the Army Reserves until being honorably discharged in 1988. He went to Hennepin Technical College for heating and cooling and worked for Johnson Equipment Company. Scott moved to Zumbrota in 1990 and worked as a welder for Concast, Inc. for 13 years. He enjoyed snowmobiling, fishing, camping and canoeing.

Scott is survived by his son, Nick (Katie) Peters, of Goodhue; step-daughter, Tina Wilfahrt, of Wanamingo; a grandson, Teven; his father, Leo Peters, of St. Cloud; three sisters: Roxie (David) Erickson, of Crystal, Monica (Bob) Stephney, of Maple Grove and Julie (Mark Zabee) Peters, of St. Cloud; his special friend, Deb Peters, of Minneapolis; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Arlyne; his wife, Vicky; one stepson, Josh Wilfahrt; one niece, Jana Halverson.
