Scott "Soup" Campbell, 55, of Red Wing, passed away on Thursday, February, 24, 2011 at the Lake City Nursing Home. Soup was born on December 16, 1955 in Red Wing, the son of Raymond W. Jr. and Margery (Morgan) Campbell. Soup lived his life in Red Wing and accumulated hundreds of friends. Soup welcomed friends in every aspect of his life. Many friendships were formed as a child and these friends remain today. Many friends were added during his days at Dave's Pizza, and more friends were added during his days at Banitt Motors and Red Wing Chrysler. Soup was an avid sportsman with many friends of all ages who were known as fishing friends, hunting friends, motorcycle friends, and race fans.

He is survived by his sister, Deb (Ken) Campbell-Potter of Eden Prairie; his long term companion and best friend Nadine Platson, with whom he shared many interests and adventures. Soup is also survived by his niece McKenna Campbell-Potter, with whom he enjoyed a very special, mutually adoring relationship.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at Christ Episcopal Church in Red Wing with Father Theo Park presiding. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Monday, February 28, 2011 at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel and also one hour prior to the service at the church.
