Sarah Cabot passed away peacefully at home on June 15,  2021 of complications from Multiple Myeloma. She lived on Lake Pepin in Lake City, Minnesota.

Sarah was born in Minneapolis on March 24, 1936 and attended Windom Elementary School, Ramsey Jr. High and Washburn High Schools, graduating in 1954. She attended Grinnell College in Iowa and later graduated from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis with a degree in Education. She taught at Barton and Fuller Elementary Schools for many years and finished her career at Minneapolis Community College in the late 90’s. She enjoyed and excelled in many artistic endeavors such as Floor Loom Weaving, Beading and Knitting and created beautiful gifts for family and friends over the years. Sarah was an avid reader, a serious news junkie and she loved all animals especially dogs. She is survived by her beloved dog, Sophie who was by her side at the end.

Sarah is survived by daughters, Lori Bendixen Murphy, Julie Bendixen and Marci Goergen (Tom Goergen), grandchildren, Connor Murphy (Andrea), Jack Murphy, Ian Cosgrove, (Nicole), Shawnee Cosgrove, step-granddaughter, Alexandra Minor Bartlett (Brett), great-granddaughter, Naomi Anderson, brother, Richard Crosby (Joanie), niece, Betsy LaLiberte (Steve), nephew, Tom Crosby (Hana), great-nieces, Natalie and Cameron LaLiberte and Katherine Crosby, and great-nephew, Colin LaLiberte.

Preceded in death by her parents, Conrad and Katherine Crosby and her second husband, John Cabot. No formal services will be scheduled.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be donated in Sarah’s name to Wildlife Rehabilitation Center of Minnesota, www.wrcmn.org, 651-486-9453.
